Oh my god, the art style in this was STUNNING. The colour palette was absolutely GORGEOUS, it was so vibrant and engaging. There was also a good mix of panel style to keep things fresh.

For a CHILDREN’S graphic novel, I thought the plot worked perfectly well, and had a clever ending too. If anything, I wished that the inciting incident had occurred earlier (as well as perhaps editing down some other parts) so as to give the plot more room. I wasn't expecting the story to be so spooky, which was a pleasant surprise as it really sucked me into the narrative.

I liked how Sandy learned that external validation isn’t what she needs in order to do art. She can do what she wants and be free in her creative expression!

I loved how it was shown that the story was essentially part of Sandy’s imagination. That through her drawings, she can escape to lush, detailed other worlds.
