Book 4
What a great ending to Simon and Kara story. Great HEA and the introduction of Sam and Maddie story which I'm really looking forward to.

Welcome to Serial Sundays! This week I'll be wrapping up the Billonaire's Obsession series with the epilogue novella "Mine Completely" which concludes Simon and Kara's love story. For those of you following my reviews of the previous three sections, you are well aware of my reservations and issues with this series as a whole. For those of you who are visiting for the first time, this is a "Fifty Shades" Lite series which has a lot of similarities to that book series as well as a few other alpha male stories.

This section follows Kara and Simon during their engagement. Kara has been distant and is having emotional issues surrounding holding Simon back. Simon, on the other hand, is completely confused over her sudden changes. Of course, there is another reason for her craziness. Once that secret is revealed they have to deal with whether they will continue along together or be better apart.

If you do not wish to be spoiled, stop reading now.

So she's pregnant. Who didn't see that one coming? She finds out she's pregnant early on and then wrestles with telling Simon. Once Simon is told, it becomes happy happy for the most part. There is some sex and some gift giving before the story shifts. The epilogue serves the purpose of ending Simon and Kara's story and opening Sam and Maddie's story for the sequel. About half of the epilogue follows Maddie and Sam as they dance around their past.

I thought it was an okay epilogue. Personally I thought it could have just been added to the book before it instead of billed as its own section. It was the shortest section of the series and did very little other than to create a sequel and cap off the Simon/Kara story. Simon and Kara were in a good place at the end of the third section so I figured this was kind of unnecessary.

I do, however, have to say I enjoyed Kara and Simon in this novella. It seemed natural for them to be in a relationship at this point. Simon is comical while he deals with not knowing how to handle Valentine's Day. The moments he pleads for help from his assistant and tries to gift Kara with the perfect Valentine's Day, is adorable. I loved that part.

While I've had reservations about their relationship in the past, this is the section that drove it home for me. They genuinely seemed to fit together here once they were more meshed in their future. The gifts worked and their conversations made me think of happily ever after for them.

I love it when an epilogue proves me wrong. I only wished I could have enjoyed the happy book feeling throughout the rest of the serial. I would recommend trying this series out if you enjoy lighter versions of Fifty Shades or Crossfire. I still might pick up Sam and Maddie's story in the future since I liked Sam a lot.

Next week, I'll be showcasing a brand new serial for my blog. Stay tuned.

I wish we would have gotten believable characters, real issues, more drama in the first installation. I got my wish. Too bad there wasn't less cringe-worthy erotic scenes. But other than that, I like how Scott seamlessly chose to weave in Maddie and Sam's story since I know it probably continues in the other books. And thankfully, Kara and Simon feel more like real people and less like archetypes.

Not necessary but a somewhat nice addition to the series. No big drama nor great emotions for me even though I did enjoy the series as whole.
