Short Attention Span Review: Think "Groundhog Day" (the movie) where the central character is a teenage girl who keeps reliving the day she died. Over and over again.

More review later,maybe...

Well I was not expecting this to be 5 stars. At all. What a fantastic example of character development.

Easy read. Literally read it haphazardly in 2 days. Are kids this shallow these days? Frankly I'm surprised that it took her so long to figure it out. I would have thought by the 2nd or 3rd day, hey maybe if I'm not a bitch to everyone it can make things right? I guess this was what parties were like in high school. I was like Juliet, or someone at the "bottom of the social ladder" as in I didn't know the parties were happening until they were over. Anyway, easy read. Entertaining enough, but it won't be winning any awards.

I first read this book when I was in Grade 8 and absolutely fell in love with it. I've read it a couple more times over the years, and think about it every now and again. The movie is also great! I watched it a few months ago and sobbed. It's one of those stories that reminds you of just how beautiful life is. Just how precious the small moments are.

I especially love the part that says: "That's when I realized that certain moments go on forever. Even after they're over they still go on, even after you're dead and buried, those moments are lasting still, backward and forward, on into infinity. They are everything and everywhere all at once."

I think about that often. Some memories are so significant and special that it feels like they are still happening even though I'm not physically there anymore. Sitting in a parked car in the middle of the night, talking to two friends. Listening to music in my lounge with friends at 4am...

This book was my gateway into the world of Lauren Oliver. She's a brilliant author. Delirium is also fantastic.

Wow!! I was a little skeptical of all the reviews I read because the book didn't engage me right away. I felt like I was reliving my high school years as the book began, and while I was a lot like Sam I had no desire to relive those years. But as the book progressed I got sucked in and couldn't put the book down. The last few chapters really captured me and I felt they told a beautiful story. This book is wonderfully written, an easy but thrilling book. I can't wait to see what else Lauren Oliver releases in the future, she's brilliant!!!

I don't often rate books lower than three stars, but this book might take the award for worst book I've ever read. I'm sorry to say that I thoroughly hated every bit of this book.

I like this book a lot. It was quite confusing at first and I was like "huh?" but after that it was easy to understand. Each stage when she tries to make everything better or change the way things went was cool because it happened differently each time.
If you read The Fault In Our Stars, on of my personal favourites, than you will know the book mentioned in TFIOS which is An Imperial Affliction. In TFIOS, An Imperial Affliction has an ending where you don't know what happens to the main character, her parents, etc...
That is what I thought about after reading this book, the ending is kind of like that!
I don't really care about what happened to her parents but what happens to her friends after she dies and her boyfriend and stuff. I really hoped that she was in a coma and wakes up at the end but that's not how the author wanted it. If Lauren Oliver were to ever read my review, I would want her to know that I enjoyed reading this book a lot and I got tired of reading the same thing over and over again but then the way it changes was really nice to read.
