Trying to get back into reading so chose this as my first book in years. Really enjoyed it. Short and sweet, a great adventure story about Lev & Kolya, whose relationship is so fun to read. David Benioff’s writing is fantastic. Kolya’s character is gonna stick with me for a long time

It is such a great a great book. It's endearing, thought-provoking, and funny. The kind of books that just take over your thoughts and you sort of anticipate the plot further ahead you know? The characters are brilliant and impactful. I truly enjoyed the experience of this book.

Maybe I am morbid but I enjoy reading books about world war II. Part of it I think is that my grandparents lived in Europe during WWII. I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to hear a different perspective then what I have read in the past. I don't know if I would recommend this book to anyone. The reason? Well, the things they talk about in the book, the way the characters talk about things may offend too many people that I know. It is a good book and is also eye opening to some of the horrible horrible thins that the Nazi's did. Some are obvious but others...Also, some of the people the main characters run into like some cannibals..interesting. Anyway, if you like WWII books read it but be prepared for two guys talking about guy stuff and WWII crazyness, horridness!
