Very enjoyable. I loved the aspects of sisterhood, feminism, and social justice.  I love when books write friendship between women well, and this book definitely did that. I wish Cussy Mary and  Jackson were in a few more scenes because I just love them.  I also, of course, love the animal relationships in this book. Junia is my favorite character. And I love Penny the cat and Tommy the rooster too. As someone who loves with an animal that has enough personality for 3, I like reading stories where the characters have a deep bond with their animal companion. I really like the author’s style and would highly recommend the audiobook performance. It’s great.

Loved it! It was so good to find out what happened to the Book Woman's Daughter and see how things had changed over the years. I don't think I'll stop thinking about this book or the first one for a while.

This book just like the first in this series are nothing like what I’d normally read. I only picked up the first one because my Aunt insisted it was a really good read and it was! I was so interested that I had to read this one to. It has a similar storyline but goes into so much more about woman empowerment and love of book. If your an avid reader, regardless of the types of books you typically read I believe anyone could enjoy this.

This book/series has so much to offer. It’s definitely a slower read but it is 1000% worth the read!
