I never really gave much thought to the Amish way of living. This book opened my eyes to a different worldview. At times, I was frustrated with the characters and had to force myself to step back and remember that their thoughts and actions were normal for the way they were brought up. Interesting read. I called the ending but it still made me feel the feels.
i was addicted to this until about 70% into the book
then it started to drag, and then sped up the last 15 pages.
very interesting and overall enjoyable

Lila a lot of people I thought it was a good book til the ending
Although predictable, I thought this book was good. Interesting about the Amish. I felt like I really learned a lot about their beliefs and culture.
My view of this book is spoiled because I actually watched the Lifetime TV movie version before I read the book (which was pretty good actually). Still, Jodi Picoult makes you feel like you are right there during the intense moments.
I'm not sure what I think of this book. I really enjoyed learning about the Amish community and the relationship between Ellie and Katie, but I thought other areas were a bit forced like the relationship between Ellie and Coop. It kind of felt like it was just included so there was a romance in it. And like many others I thought the very end was unnecessary. Leaving who hid the baby a secret would have been preferable, instead of putting a question mark over Sarah. I'll still give it 4 stars though because it was very compelling.
It wasn't horrible, and I kept reading, but I wasn't on the edge of my seat ever.
