probably the most interesting politically of the original trilogy, although it's so weird to have a book without a hunger game (games? What's the singular?) in it.

I could have even more of Katniss and Johanna queening out. that was awesome.

This one, although highly anticipated, wasn't my favorite of the series. But it still deserves 4 stars!! It was a lot darker than the other two, with a lot of war going on. There were some situations that totally surprised me, and the plot twisted in completely unexpected ways. It did a great job of wrapping up the series, leaving you with a sense of unsettled peace, a bit like the realities of life. I feel like I will be haunted with the ideas of the book just as much as Katniss Everdean.

Bit of a disappointment after the first two. The Hunger Games is the best in the series. While Mockingjay ended the way I suspected it would, the story seemed weak and forced. Things seem incomplete, and I'm not sure what sort of message you're supposed to walk away with after finishing the book.
