An enjoyable listen, read by the author. I loved hearing the Van Halen family’s story from immigrating to adapting to American life. Alex’s love for his brother Eddie really shone through, and I hope this was a comfort for him to write and revisit some good old days together.

Listened to this one.

I’ve always loved Van Halen and no celebrity death has ever made me really upset, except for Eddie Van Halen.

This was a great and genuine story told by Van Halen drummer, Alex Van Halen. I loved that he narrated it himself and put his intended flair on some of the passages.

My only complaint would be that I felt like it could go on so much longer. The past portion ended with Dave leaving the band.

I loved everything about it. It was so heartfelt and I loved how important family was and is to this band.

Their story is interesting. The telling of it is pretty bland, but undeniably loving. Hardly covers the Sammy Hagar days, which feels odd and incomplete.
