WTF. This is my initial reaction to the ending of every book from Lucinda Berry. This time is no different. This may be my favorite book of hers yet. It contains some of my favorite plot elements: kidnapping, serial killer, crime procedural, and twisted psyches. All that said, this story is dark. One of the darkest I've read. Maybe tied with Pretty Girls. As usual, I expect that this Lucinda Berry book to sit with me for a long time. This is the epitome of psychological thriller.
