i think this genre of… what? true crimecore? exploitation paperback? (calling it a thriller feels tame) needs to be studied because there’s probably some really interesting gender theory going on with most authors and readers of the genre being women. i always end up reading these in under 24 hours and i can’t help but wonder what about my psyche compels me and others to do so. anyways, it’s hard to rate books like this so do with that what you will.

This is my second book by Lucinda Berry. Saving Noah was my first.
This book is more graphic and disturbing. HUGE TRIGGER WARNING for chapters 51-55. Not for the faint of heart. It was hard to stomach. But overall an amazing book and well written. It’s dark. Extremely dark.

I would have liked more info about John and his backstory.

I listened to the audiobook, and the robotic voice of Sarah was bothersome, but as I got to know her character, I get it.
