I couldn't stand this book. Felt like it was written by a 12 year old but with pedophile themes

Maaan oh man I wanted to throttle Sarah, Petra, whatever her name was. Despite the fact that she needed serious help — I still wanted to. We never find out why John never came back when the alarm went off. Also I thought the fact that nothing was ever included in the book about John instructing Sarah to blow the house up if need be. She just says he’s told her before that that was what she had to do if a girl escaped. Destroy the evidence. Idk — just something I found a little faulty. I guess we’re also supposed to assume John just took off after the alarm went off & never actually intended on coming back for Sarah. Even though he states he was always “five minutes away.” Questions.

Lucinda Berry has again made me question, would I have made those same decisions given the circumstances.

I'm only rating this a 4.5 because I hate cliffhangers. 3 years and she's going to find Jocelyn and then what? Attempt to kill her or Ella again. Also, if I were Jocelyn, I would have press charges against her for drugging me and my child BUT at the same, She WOULD NOT be living in my house after everything that you put my child through. That part pissed me off.
