I thought the story for this book was incredibly entertaining but for most of the book I was not on board with the romance aspect. I understand this is a dark romance but I felt the way he treated her for most of the book was unacceptable. Still loved it though.

I am struggling a little with the last 2 books in this series. I’m chugging through because I’ve been dying for Eli and Ava’s book and I’ve heard that Nikolai and Brandon’s is amazing as well. But, this and the last one was rough for me. I just feel like the dialogue is so juvenile and cringey. I can’t get past it. There is almost no tension or angst either. Also, there was a lot of talk about Landon being this huge genius that’s superior to everyone, but there was no evidence of his superiority. That makes or breaks a book for me. I’m really hoping that God of Fury turns it around for me, because I want to love this series as much as everyone else.

Landon is the bad boy of his college. He uses others for personal gain, he’s a genius, and he’s an artist. But he’s also set to inherit his family’s mafia empire when it’s time. Mia is a very smart, hide in the shadows type of FMC. She is nonverbal and only really communicates with those around her with ASL or a notepad. Their families hate each other, and she’ll use his fascination for her against him.

Highlights:
📌 Mafia
📌 College
📌 Dark
📌 Non-Traditional FMC

This was bad. Big bad Landon spoke like an immature 12 year old and constantly got his ass kicked. Bad, just bad.

Alright, alright. I stand corrected. I don’t hate Lan anymore lol I mean he’s not my favorite but he has redeemed himself in my eyes.

Probably the biggest change in character from one of the men in this series. And I love that he did it all for Mia. The way he he learned ASL for her, and ordered her food, and just tried 🥹

He’s a crazy, but he’s Mia’s crazy. And I love that he coaxed out Mia’s dark side and showed her how to accept all of herself.

What to expect:
College romance
Primal
Ch@king
Somno
Secret relationship
Forbidden
Rival houses
Mental health
