I wanted so much more friendship and found family and I guess just vibes like happy place but instead I got the immediate death of a friend and then a stupid man cheater and then another almost death of a friend and then a random marriage proposal in the epilogue so not really what I was wanting

This book read a bit like a teenage essay; there wasn’t much elaboration to any of it. The characters and their supposedly lifelong bond were not well developed and it made the rest of their journey seem forced, not authentic.
