This book flowed super well, and was super easy to read, but the story left a little something to be desired. Based on the concept of “summer” you think it will be more flirty, but it really isn’t at all until the end. I’m glad I knew that this was not a light beach read before I started it, or else I would have been sorely disappointed. I would definitely read this author’s work again.

I liked the first half better than the second half. felt like too much was crammed in the second half and it didn’t match the pace of the first half. also the dialogue sometimes felt forced and formal which gave me the ick :/

okay im just gonna get into it i went on a journey here, a rollercoaster with the way i was processing i went into this thinking i was getting silly summer vibes but this had so much more depth to it then i thought, and although it completely shook me all the difficult real life topics felt like such a true reflection of reality in my opinion and after i accepted that this was the type of book i was reading i was sat. i mean i was devouring!

i loved all the povs i loved the reasoning for coming together and traveling and i did fall in love with the characters until we took a dip at like the 80ish percent mark things went a little downhill for me it just felt like with the way the pacing was going we threw a lot of things together in all different directions at once and it felt rushed? i don’t know it felt like we lost the plot and if we were going to go that route i just wish it was a little more flushed out if that makes any sense at all

ill come back to this roll my eyes at myself later but the ending made me emotional it was so cute and all in all, i definitely enjoyed the ride this took me on
