A difficult read, but an important one. Elliot Page is such a phenomenal actor and iconic celebrity, but the man can write, too. He shares his story - which is fraught with neglect, queerphobia, and sexual violence, among other traumas - with such precise descriptions, tongue-in-cheek humor, and frank honesty. I listened to the audiobook version of Pageboy, and I got the extra treat of hearing it all in his own voice.

As other reviewers have shared, the time jumps in the book were a bit hard to digest. (for example; going from a story of elliot at age 6 and then jumping to age 19 and back to age 6 and then to age 28) I had trouble keeping up with the time jumps. Altogether though, thank you Elliot Page for sharing yourself with us. I appreciate you.

I cried in the intro and that really just set the tone for the whole book. I feel almost overwhelmed with how incredible it is to hear Elliot's story this way. I can't recommend the audiobook enough; hearing it in his own voice is a beautiful thing.
(Seriously check the content warnings though, this is not an easy one)
