Revisiting Point Horror for the first time since childhood. Wild. I think I blocked out how cartoonisgly gruesome they are. I enjoyed this, the audiobook is really well produced and the story is engaging. There are some odd loose ends and wow it is far too dark for kids.

Disablism - mention of someone with an injury with pitying descriptors. Sexual assault - pretty gross, detailed account of an attack, but at least it only goes as far as kisses. One teen attacking another. The grimness of this is kind of compounded by the chracters having implausibly made up later and the girl "realising" that the guy was "in love with me" and thus not a baddie. Ew.
