As with the other books in this series, this was an easy, semi-predictable, fluffy read. The love was sort of instant, the relationship drama was non-existent, and the plot-line danger drama was “huge,” while actually being pretty minimal. Had it’s charming, funny moments. The humour throughout the series is pretty much the exact same. A bit over-the-top situational and quirky humour.
Didn’t hate it, would re-read in the future when in search for another snicker-worthy, low drama read.

Mystic Bayou is like a summer vacation home you visit when you need a pick me up, when you want to visit old and new friends. I've always enjoyed my visits and this was no exception.

I always love going back to this book. The two main characters are loveable and interesting, and in a world where one person of the couple is a local from the small town and one person new comes in and they fall in love, it's really refreshing to have a couple both come into that town and fall for each other instead.

Cordelia and Brendan understand each other on another level, even though they still have areas where they don't necessarily agree or they don't understand about each other. But they work together and they maintain a positive and supportive relationship.

Found family vibes, banshee boy, and a small town that I love. I can't say anything negative about this book if I tried. Molly Harper continues to impress with my Mystic Bayou reread.

Another cute one although I'm interested to see what's gonna happen next after this latest turn of events.

The background stories of each characters get crazier each book. Wonder what's coming next.

Curse Molly Harper and her intriguing writing.

I always enjoy the books in this series, even if the general structure is always the same (at least one person from "outside" moves to Mystic Bayou and then falls in love while fending off some hazardous magic-related event). For me, it's like settling down to watch reruns of a favorite sitcom while sagging onto a comfortable couch. I know what I'm in for, but I can still feel warm and fuzzy imagining a community of oddballs that creates the family that they need and eats lots of pie.
