The anime seems to be a pretty faithful adaptation so far.
The only chapter that was heavily edited in the show was the one with the haunted Noh mask. (There was so much more creepiness and body horror in the manga!)

I’ve loved Inuyasha for over 10 years, never read the manga though.

But after rewatching the anime this year I just had to read the manga as well and it just reminded me of how much I love this story.

It is beautifully told and illustrated
