I enjoyed the book's message. I found its delivery almost intolerable. After the gut wrenching battle royale of the first chapter, the rest of the book failed to grab my attention. No characters were fleshed out except for the protagonist, to the point where the others were shades of the protagonist himself. Two stars for historical merit.

Ok first of all I need to say that I picked up this book thinking it was the H.G. Wells Invisible Man

It wasn't what I was expecting but definitely a must read. The social issues the main character confronts are (sadly) timeless and so the book is relatable when you consider all that's happening today.
