p3y7on's review against another edition
I feel like this book was sold to me on social media as a good introduction to the history of the conflicts and while this book was definitely good it wasn’t really at an introductory level (which made a lot of it go over my head). I am choosing not to rate this book given that it was more of an issue with me than with the book

this is a thoroughly researched and informative introduction to the history of the conflict between the palestinians and the zionists. i'm sure it is flawed, as any book on this topic will inevitably be, but it gave me much needed context that i don't think i would get (especially as a westerner) without actively seeking it out. this book is not something i ever would have ever picked up out of sheer interest and i found it challenging to read, but i find important to be informed and therefore, i am glad i read this book.

Challenging and not and easy read - although I guess few war histories are easy reads. I appreciate all of the work the author put into this book, and thought the last chapter/epilogue was the easiest to read and digest.
