I read this book to my kids. I was such an emotional story and an excellent spring board to talk about the dangers for using drugs and how easy it can be to get addicted to anything, be it a phone addiction, drug, or alcohol.

Ellen Hopkins has been one of my favorite authors since high school and very rarely am I let down by her writing.

She is able to capture so many perspectives and completely get you into the mindset of any given character.

I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy this, with it being directed at a younger audience than most of her novels, but I still flew through it in one sitting.
