not a kid's book by any stretch, although I see why children would like it. very quotable. "taming" and how it relates to relationship and meaning is pretty interesting. the whole flower thing overall, really. (the flower is all lonely vulnerability hiding under a shell of pompousness)

One of the most beautiful books I've read.

"We only really see with our hearts. What matters is invisible to the eyes."

Such an adorable and cutesy read.

Such a cute story. So sweet. It really hurt my heart.

More deserts in my literature please!

My first time reading this book, and I've counted poetry collections shorter than this towards my goal, so this definitely counts.
Hoopla had two fuckass versions, though, and I picked the marginally better (and longer) one. As I understand it, Hoopla doesn't have either of the two main translations of this work, and my copy had an egregious amount of grammatical errors (not necessarily translation errors, mind you). I got the gist of it though, and I'll revisit it someday. It is a good book, but for the above reasons it would not be fair to rate it.
