More deserts in my literature please!

My first time reading this book, and I've counted poetry collections shorter than this towards my goal, so this definitely counts.
Hoopla had two fuckass versions, though, and I picked the marginally better (and longer) one. As I understand it, Hoopla doesn't have either of the two main translations of this work, and my copy had an egregious amount of grammatical errors (not necessarily translation errors, mind you). I got the gist of it though, and I'll revisit it someday. It is a good book, but for the above reasons it would not be fair to rate it.

“If someone loves a flower of which just one example exists among all the millions and millions of stars, that’s enough to make him happy when he looks at the stars. He tells himself, “My flower’s up there somewhere. . . .” But if the sheep eats the flower, then for him it’s as if, suddenly, all the stars went out. And that isn’t important?”

I read this book for the first time in eighth grade French class. Le Petit Prince, that title didn't mean much to me then, because I thought it would be a little kid's book and sighed as my teacher handed out copies. But then we started to read, and I was introduced to my very first allegory. I was amazed by this technique and the genius of explaining real life things masked behind a story a child could read and understand. This is truly and amazing book. I'm for sure going to read this to my kids when I get older.
