Anyways, I am so relieved and happy that this classic lived up to its name as sometimes some classics - if not many - don't! I will be re-reading this many times... And yes, of course, I wish I had read it at least once when I was a kid...

it doesn't suit me and the story is boring
So whimsical. Opens your eyes to how your view of the world has changed from a child to an adult. How certain things just aren’t as important or valuable as you think they are. Keep the wonder, curiosity, and love you had when you were a child, and take that with you always.

I think my expectations of this classic were a bit too high. I was actually a bit bored of it, even though it was such a short book, but I can kind of see why it has gotten so popular over time. It teaches the reader important things in life and its messages were beautiful, but the book in itself didn't really move me that much (probably because its target audience are children and young adults). At least I finally got to read it now and see what this is about.
