4.5 hold my stomach laughing stars
I haven’t been able to focus more than a few minutes at a time on a new full length book since May, and a lot of what I did managed to read had not been keeping my attention/interest. Enter Trilina Pucci who apparently knew that all I needed was this uproarious, irreverent, spiiicy, romantic, swoony, adorable smütcom to get back my joy in reading. Thank you for your service ma’am.
When I tell you I was giggling and wheeze laughing the whole time…I highlighted half the book but most of my notes are basically just laugh emojis. That’s it. Crew and Eleanor are both unapologetically hilarious and their banter will keep you shaking with mirth, and hot and bothered. What a combination. And TJ and Nate provide the perfect guest appearances (this is not a why choose, do not go expecting one) along with Sam and Millie, who add to the comic relief via text and batsht sisterly advice. I truly believe Ms. Pucci is one of the funniest writers out there, keeping you rolling without crossing the line into unfunny antics.
Oh but it’s not all fun and jokes. When I said it was spicy, dang girl I meant it’s cook-an-egg-on-the-Vegas-strip-HOT, with some group action to turn the temps all the way up. There’s laughter here too, but it never detracts from the insane chemistry between Crew and Elle. And the Tweedles 😆 let’s be honest, they’re mostly incidental, to add a little pizzazz to the story. But a little pizzazz goes a long way when it comes to these guys. And the filthy mouth on Crew is probably criminal in 48 states. Dirty talk level? Incendiary. Elle matches him word for word and filthy act for filthy act, girl’s got major BDE. Big daddy energy.
We covered funny and spicy, now let’s talk about feels. I didn’t expect this one to hit me in them y’all, but they sneaked up on me. Crew and Elle’s accidental marriage of convenience and half reluctant half enthusiastic sentencing to forced proximity takes a turn for the adorable real quick, even though they’re the last ones to realize that they’ve caught the pesky feelings, stupid. But that’s necessary to make that romcom worthy ending possible innit?
Now that we know we are def getting a Millie book, Imma be manifesting hard that we get a Claire the tiny tyrant of a trainer book too. I can only imagine the possibilities 😍

"Marrying some rando you just fucked is like a rite of passage in Vegas."
Belly laughing, friggen hilarious! I can't even believe how much I highlighted in this damn book. If you had the pleasure of reading Tangled in Tinsel, you know how funny Trilina is.... Well, Samantha's sister Eleanor gets her own story in Knot So Lucky. Yup, THE Samantha, and Eleanor is just as funny, if not, a little more hysterical.
Eleanor decides to take a trip with her best friend to Las Vegas where the fun begins when they run into some NFL players: Crew, Nate, and TJ. GANG BANG NINER GANG. One wild night and random drunken choices turn into a month long commitment where Eleanor and Crew are stuck together in Vegas. And what an adventurous month it is! (I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the little nods to the REAL Las Vegas! I could picture every single place that was mentioned, the dry ass desert heat, all the way down to the chicken wings at a classic, local strip club. You just know Trilina is well acquainted with Sin City and I loved every second of it.)
"If my pussy was previously in a coma, it's now revived and doing lunges, getting ready for round two."
Eleanor
Eleanor. Oh Eleanor. She's a quick witted, fiercely independent, strong FMC who embraces her sexuality. Something we all could learn a little from. The exchange throughout Knot So Lucky between Eleanor, Millie, and her sister will make you wish you were friends with them. I would kill to be in their group chats.
"God, give me strength, or just let me break my legs so I'm not running straight for his dick."
Crew
Holy hot fuck.... this guy and his mouth. I do believe I blushed a couple of times. He's the male equivalent of Eleanor; confident, cocky, knows what he wants, and has the quick wits to back him up. And if you need a good visual, google Nick Bosa.... the inspiration for Crew.
"I get your pussy first and last. You hear me? No exceptions, or I'll let it fucking starve to death."
Overall this book is a fun, fast paced, quick story. Knot So Lucky is set in the summer, making it a perfect read to get you in the sunshine and vacation mood. The first half of the book was charming with its pop-culture and movie references, but the second half was my favorite. I was swooning for Crew and holding my breath for their happy ending.
"It's like the ending scene in a romantic comedy. This is your Josie Grossie moment."

This was FINE. I really had to force myself to finish that last 20% though haha. I was really interested at the start of the book and slowly lost interest as it went along. I also had a few moments during the smutty scenes where a word or phrase was used that took me out of the moment (he literally calls his

This might be the funniest book I’ve ever read. The banter and one liners were absolutely ELITE.
I loved the storyline in this and of course, to no one’s surprise, the spice was to die for.
The only thing I wanted and didn’t get was more insight into Crew and Eleanor’s minds when they realized they actually loved each other, and more after they get back together. Otherwise this book was perfect.

Audiobook Review--duet narration! But there are five narrators which made it feel like you are listening to a movie. Eleanor accidentally marries Crew, a professional football player, in Vegas and he enjoys sharing her with his friends and teammates. We also get to see Samantha from Tangled and Tinsel and how she is doing after her book. I absolutely loved all the narrators, they did such an amazing job! This book is spicy so make sure you have your AirPods handy. Top tier spice!!
SHE DID IT AGAIN.
Another incredibly funny book!
What happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay in Vegas…
I don’t think I’ve ever genuinely laughed out loud as much as I have than while reading this series. I’m talking actual, out loud, belly laughs. The banter in this book just cannot be beat.
Eleanor is such a fun character to follow. She’s down for anything and a bit of a wild card, which makes for a very exciting book. Our story starts off with a bang when our lovely main character is escaping from a life changing one night stand with a ring on her finger, a desperate need for a shower, and her clothes in shambles. Not that it wasn’t an amazing night, but she’s not interested in the commitment of a repeat performance. Even if she can’t stop thinking about all the delicious things they did to her body. Yes, they. Three beautiful football players. All night long.
One of them just happens to be her shiny new husband.
Our lovely groom, Crew wakes up to find that Eleanor has run off like Cinderella. But instead of a glass slipper, she leaves behind a napkin with her details so that he can contact her with details for their upcoming divorce. It seems like an easy task. He calls his lawyer to fix his mistake and within a few hours, things start looking up. That is until an unfortunate sports vendetta forces Eleanor and Crew to stay married for 30 days.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, I spent the entire book cackling at these character’s jokes. This captures the same magic that Tangled in Tinsel achieved. If you loved that book, this one is just as good. I was nervous going into it because of how much I loved the first book, but I was pleasantly surprised at how the story plays out on this one. It is so different than it’s counterpart but has the same fun vibe. Despite the sharing, we’re focused on our married couple with only their POV. Crew’s best friends play an important role but the real stars of the show are Eleanor and Crew.
I love the usage of graphics and text messages! It made the experience even more fun and the attention to formatting was superb. If you’re a graphic design nerd like me you’ll appreciate the fantastic way Trilina shows the passing of time.
And I’m especially excited to know that we aren’t done with Crew’s besties TJ and Nate.
Biggest thank you to Literally Yours PR for the ARC! I cannot wait for this series to continue.
