The Autobiography of Santa Claus: A Revised Edition of the Christmas Classic

This was an awesome retelling of an old legend, that itself has probably been the subject of many different tales. Guinn's imaginative Autobiography of Santa Claus is an outstanding exemplar of the genre. And the fanciful way he brings in real historical figures and events is purely genius! I thoroughly enjoyed Guinn's work, and was touched by the mild way in which he taught some simple but important lessons about humanity along the way.
I had read this book previously, but my wife had not. On a long road trip to visit family, after finishing one audiobook, she chose this one to listen to next. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The narrator, John Mayer, was outstanding.
This was a great book. It was educational and silly all at the same time. I did it as an audio book and the performer brought Santa to life. I am so glad I read this book. I just felt good when it was done.
I enjoyed the premise of this book. I didn't expect that it would be historical, but Guinn did a good job of weaving historical events and people into the Santa story.
This is one of the books I read every year in December. The interweaving of history and fiction is something that I love along with all of the Christmas magic and some unique twists on the Santa Claus mythology.

The history of Christmas as told by Santa Claus. Sometimes it's actually as boring as a real history book, but still interesting.
A great audiobook. A little bit faith, a little bit magic and a little bit history. A very enjoyable read!

Whimsical and charming, certainly will put you in the holiday mood! I love the historical parts interspersed with the fantastical.
