So like, this could have been good maybe? But I think the word for it is just that it was kind of boring. Like, it wasn't a dnf because I could read it and did stick through the whole book because I kind of wanted to know what would happen next and nothing about it was overly grating. But it wasn't like ~exciting~. And like, aren't we all over the "main dude treats the main girl badly but really they got this steamy chemistry" trope? Anyway the concept of the world in here has potential, but the story was just eh. Not gonna read more books from this series.

So disappointed with this after seeing some glowing reviews. It started off really promising but it quickly got so predictable. I could not connect with either of the main characters at all either.

I'm not used of paranormal romance, it's a new genre for me to be frankly speaking. But idk why this book intrigued me.

I do really want to give this book 4 stars or even 4.5 but the reason why I end up give it 3 was because I hate Beckham. Sorry, becks.

Maybe this is bec we get all perspective from only one side, Reyna, that we don't know what's inside Beckham's head or what he truly feels.
But,
Though so, can he stop playing his push and pull game? It's cool for first few chapters but it's tiresome when he keeps playing it till the end.
I know there must be a reason why he did what he did. But this book made it as if Reyna here a bad guy. And I love Reyna, her character is one that I always looking for for a heroine. She's so strong, brave, and always stand for herself.

So don't blame me for being surprised when becks confess his feelings by the end of the book. Yes we got a glimpse abt it, how he always worried, and cared for her in his own day despite all. But still...

I still want to read the rest of the trilogy tho. I want to know where this is going. And having what we had by the end of the book, of course I have to read the next one. Hopefully it wont dissapointed me.
