I really liked this! It was a relatively easy, fun page-turner. Shonda is a fearless beast, esp after her Year of Yes challenge to herself. This was an inspiring read with lots of positive affirmations and quotes. I've been watching Grey's since 2009, and the writing style of this book is quite similar to the show - especially with respect to Christina Yang's character. One thing that kind of bugged me about this was how chatty Shonda's thought process was in the beginning of the book. It reminded me of the ever so annoying April Kepner character of Grey's Anatomy lol. All in all, I admire Rhimes and I can't wait to see what other 'badassery' projects she has up her sleeve in the future :)

A friendly, lighthearted, reassuring kick in the pants to go out there, treat yourself right, and be your best you. Sometimes I found it a bit too eager and the writing a bit choppy—you can tell that she writes for TV, which is not a bad thing—but for the most part the conversational tone really works. A good pre-New Year's book!

I'm glad to know Shonda Rhimes is a fellow knitter.

Shonda Rhimes writes like she talks, and she is funny and heartfelt at the same time. She lives her truth and owns who she is,
