I love the silly little Boy Scout so much. Has always inspired me to be a better person. This feels like such a great origin story to him. I love this book so much. Reminds me of the Marvel color books. Lovely book

A really good Superman book, it's great at really understanding the character at it's core. If you can't see your Superman in this book, you haven't written Superman. Gets down to heart of Supes which is Clark Kent.

I loved the framing device as well, seeing Superman through the eyes of four of his most important characters. Good stuff.

Everything you’d hope for from a Superman book. Loeb & Sale compliment each other wonderfully.

It’s really beautifully drawn. This is the kind of artwork I like to see in comics. More stylized. Less ugly hyper-realism. Less emphasis on making the dudes too buff. There’s a little section in one of the chapters that deals with a “terrorist” threat which felt kinda gross, as if being opposed to American imperialism is a bad thing, but it made a point to hint that the terrorist was actually backed by Luthor (which, I guess, makes it a little better). Still, that shit is not my cup of tea. U.S. imperialism is the largest terrorist threat in the world.
