7/2/21 - listened to the audiobook this time around and I didn't care of it nearly as much as the ebook. I also enjoyed the story less this time...

Rereading with the Mostly Lesfic group!
Just finished and still love it. Same rating as first read.

I found the setting and characters to be underdeveloped for my taste. In addition, one of the main characters is overbearing and childish which is a big turnoff too. Finally, there were aspects of the sexual encounters that were nonconsensual thus ruining them as well.

Good read, but wished it had a bit more meat to it! Love a good werewolf.

By far one of the worst books I've read in a loooong time. The characterization is so hard to follow and be interested. Its not until page 137 that you have an inkling of what is already going on. I'm exceedingly frustrated by the fact that Amy says Leone is controlling and overstepping boundaries, complains about her behavior every other time and yet still opens her legs even though there was no mending their old relationship or attempt at a new one. There was no build up to the conflict until you were 3/4 of the way through the book and even then it fell flat. Add in the hit and miss, maybe only three times in the book, POV changes between characters and I just can't stand it. I barely made it through the book, and I only made it because I wanted to know where it was going to end. A book this small usually only takes me three days at most to read if I'm busy and this one has taken nearly a week or more. I'm so glad its done. v.v

**Audiobook** I really like this series, and of the two books available on audiobook, in my opinion, this one was better. I enjoy the narrator on this one more than the first, but I think the story of Little Dip is more enjoyable. However, both are well worth purchasing. Hope the other books will soon follow.

This was a second reading: I actually think I enjoyed this book better the second go around. It may have helped that I just read Little Dip and was excited to read the next chapter. I think this is a really great book. I enjoy the series, and I still think I could reread this one over and over.

This was a very fun and sexy read. I don't read a lot of paranormal books, but this one really captured my imagination. I loved the setting and the author did an excellent job creating the world of Little Dip and by the end of the book I felt like wolven living amongst us didn't seem that implausible.

A very enjoyable read and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This book was okay to me. I felt like Leone was acting childish when trying to woo Amy. Rather than taking things out and letting Amy feel as though she cares, Leone would push her way into Amy’s life and I didn’t really like that.

“Have you ever heard of half hearts? They’re lovers born for each other, and no one else will ever fit. It’s hard to be a half heart, because you never really know what’s wrong with your life until the other half arrives.”
