Este libro explica las diferencias de occidente y la dominación colonial por las diferencias geográficas, climáticas, por la disponibilidad de comida, de animales domesticables, el traspaso de gérmenes y las herramientas que se pudieron ir creando en los diferentes lugares según la materia prima disponible. Muy interesante para entender cómo fue evolucionando el mundo y por qué.

un saggio alla Harari: facile, informativo, con pochi concetti chiave sviluppati in modo chiaro e didascalico. Oggettivamente interessantissimo, una di quelle letture che rimette un po’ in prospettiva quello che pensiamo di sapere del mondo.
Perché alla fine quanta della nostra fortuna dipende solo dall’ambiente in cui ci siamo casualmente ritrovati?

if this is the abridged version, I fear what he had to say for 10 more hours in the unabridged 👀

anyway this guy does an okay job for a biologist I guess, probably an anthropologist would have done better. really conveniently stops talking about differences in opportunities that each continent had right around the same time period that colonization ravaged certain areas

NK Jemison really out here bullying me with suggestions for worldbuilding books when I think reading a summary would have been fine
