Halloween Season, I should have been tipped off from the title. A Great beginning series read. Short chapters, zany action, outrageous characters. Of course, the unspoken character is the buttered toast, which there is plenty of.

Mrs. Watson dresses up Mercy as a Princess to go trick-or-treating which she agrees to. Hilarity ensures and there are 2 new characters introduced to the Deckaroo lore. I think this is a fantastic series and I enjoy it. Innocent entertaining fun to be had from a beginning reader.

A good read for kiddoes! Love the literary reference to A Streetcar Named Desire!

Another giggle-your-way-through-it adventure for Mercy Watson, this time in a Halloween costume, trick-or-treating and, of course, driving Eugenia Lincoln to distraction. This time, also being driven crazy is Eugenia's new cat, Colonel Washington, whom Mercy trees with very little difficulty, which, of course, leads to the arrival of the fire department, a rescue and, of course, toast--with a great deal of butter on it.

Another great addition to a wonderful series. Amazing illustrations full of color and detail. This time Mercy is heading out on the town for a little trick-or-Treat adventure.

Any story is improved immensely by the presence of a pig in a dress, and one centered around said pig can't help but be comedic gold.
