I don't know how to rate these anymore...
In book 1 and 2 it was mainly Bella who was absolute bananas. This whole book is a complete madhouse. And frankly I myself feel like I'm going slightly crazy.
Anyhow. I was quite disappointed at the ending.
It felt like a lot of buildup for little to no climax. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it had a happy ending. I think the Cullen family deserves all the happiness in the world, so you won't hear me complain about that part. But a couple of fights, some people getting hurt wouldn't have been so bad? I'm sure some heart wrenching moments could've fit somewhere in there
I'm glad I read the whole series, because oooh boy, what a crazy ride. All there's left to do is read 'Midnight Sun' and reread the first book again (which is, in my humble opinion, the best book in the series).

I read this in two days just in my attempt to finally be free from the fresh hell that is my idea of re-reading this series.

This is somehow the best, and the worst book of all of them-- by not by a lot.

Spoilers Ahead
It's obviously S. Meyer's weird anti-abortion manifesto, Bella makes it painfully clear when she, 18 and pregnant, will not give up the baby that is literally a parasite growing rapidly and actively killing her while she drinks blood out of a 7-11 cup as prescribed by a board-certified(?) doctor.

This triggered constant eye-rolling every time she was described as weak but in the same breath, readers were made aware of how badly she wanted to keep Jakeward or whatever the male baby name idea was. Speaking of Jacob, his entire 'book' portion was so whiny and annoying and absolutely a displeasure to read.

The only mildly entertaining part of this book was the shady lawyer or whatever who was absolutely terrified of Mr. Jasper (can you blame him)? The Volturi scene was so long and drawn out for literally no reason.

Midnight Sun is still on my radar, but not for a very, very long time.

I have so many thoughts. But mainly I just want to know - what the actual fuck was that.

The final chapter of this series. To say it was a lot. It was a lot, even for my teenage brain when I first read it. But at least Bella got her happy ending with Edward and everything over the series seemed to resolve itself with a good bow on top. Though I will say this series itself, as a grown up, could have a plethora of graduate theses on a myriad of subjects. Though I will say that something that was a good change up for this story was getting a large chunk of the book dedicated to the POV of Jacob. It felt like Meyer was shaking things up enough to keep you engaged and interested until the final POV of Bella by the end of the book. For what it was back then, it was an okay book.

I like the Twilight Saga. It's weird and super fun. I wouldn't take it as seriously as other people who critique it. This particular book was not my favorite though.
