This is the best audiobook experience I have ever experienced by a mile, and also my heart is shattered beyond repair. I'm going to go stare at the ceiling now.

The podcast format was phenomenal! Picked up the audiobook by lucky chance and I’m so glad I did because I don’t think i would have enjoyed it as much in text.
this was so incredibly devastating. i feel so heavy rn and kind of so very sad. a part of me really loves the ending because it works so well and it feels realistic. but im so sad.
3/5: I liked the investigation of West McCray and how the author built the whole story as a combination of diary and radio show, but the characters were simple and flat and I just feel they could have been so much more than just actors in Sadie’s journey.
*listened to as an audiobook*
Boy, oh, boy. 4.5
I'm not one for trigger warnings. But
TRIGGER WARNINGS... Let's say for pretty much everything.
Sadie is a book of fiction for the fans of true crime. It follows both Sadie's perspective and a journalist investigating and trying to find her. I do think this book is meant to be experience as an audiobook, it has a full cast of actors, there are very important elements (like the main character stutters or the podcasts parts) that becomes very meaningful using this format. Let's just say that if you were "never one for audiobook", this could very change your mind.
Now, back to the story. It took time for me to be impressed. But what seemed like a "typical" running-away-misunderstood teen story really isn't. It's actually very serious and will upset you for sure. It being a thriller ; it's better if you know nothing going in so I can't say more.
Just listen to it.

The book was great with pacing, making it very enjoyable to read and entertaining. Every page kept me longing for more! Although the way that the author would describe women was at times a bit strange. As well as the ending was left with uncertainty.
- Highly recommend to read with audio book as it is interactive.
-Recommended to read trigger warnings beforehand
