4.1 AVERAGE

Sadie shows Summers’ ability to deliver difficult topics to a YA audience. The ending, however, was not one I could accept!

Somewhat slow. Very realistic story and great detail.

holy… boy was I wrong about this one!!!! this book surprised me. there were moments that I was reading and was like ugh this is so predictable but then it went the completely opposite way which I appreciate!! the ending was very bittersweet. overall, I’m glad I didn’t dnf this book! I still don’t know what it was about this book, maybe too cryptic at times? it all came together in the end but there were moments that I felt were all over the place, which I suppose is the point! a very good read, but hard at times so make sure you have that in mind going into this book

The format of this book, read as an audio book by a cast, was such a unique experience. Still, I would have skipped it, honestly, had I known the content. I heard it was captivating, and it was. However, it was also really hard to listen to, disturbing, sad. The kind of book you wish you wouldn't have started, but can't put down. Definitely check trigger warnings. It was well written, well performed, but I wish I could unread it, so 4 stars.

I really enjoyed the two different POVs -- one from Sadie, the other the podcast with interviews.

Such a sad book, however. And dark.

I was going to give this four stars, but this book is written from different perspectives and it ended on the wrong perspective without tying up the story.

I think this is a good entry level thriller type book with a very strong well rounded character, but I didn’t find it incredible the way other seem to.

3.5 stars. I listened to this as an audio book and the narrator’s voice annoyed me, but the story was engaging and I was invested. The ending was meh and there was more sweating than most 19-year-old do that it felt forced. Definitely a good mystery though; it’s worth checking out.

This is another book that is really great, but the content (suffering of children) makes it hard for me to enjoy. I'm glad I read it, it's worth the read... I just didn't enjoy reading it (the way I enjoyed reading something like Strange the Dreamer, for example).
