Had me hooked and couldn't wait to see how the next chapter would end and suck me in to reading another chapter, and another, and another.

“And Sadie, if you’re out there, please let me know. Because I can’t take another dead girl.”
This book had me at a world wind of emotions. The book is written in half a podcast and the other half you are in Sadie’s head. Liked the book and it was also heartbreaking, and all the things that she has to go through is hard to read about. Look up trigger warnings. Overall would read again.

This book was phenomenal. The only reason it isn't a 5* is personal preference and I just so badly want to know. If you've read it you'll understand!
I listened to the audiobook of this and it was definitely the way to go. The different voices and the podcast and interviews just work so well in this format.
The characters seemed so realistic to me, especially Sadie and I loved the way the story was told in a cat and mouse kind of way. It really gets you on the edge of your seat and you are rooting for Sadie and the reporter to figure out what she has earlier found out.
Please please please check trigger warnings for this one. It deals with some really difficult topics, but I do feel like they were handled extremely tastefully and anything graphic happens off page which really was the way to go with this story.
I'd definitely recommend this book, it is one of the best and most unique thrillers I have read.

“But love is complicated, it’s messy. It can inspire selflessness, selfishness, our greatest accomplishments and our hardest mistakes. It brings us together and it can just as easily drive us apart.”It's 2am and I just listened to this in one sitting and I have a lot of very intense feelings.
I feel like it's impossible to review this book because I feel like you should go into it knowing as little as possible. But just know it's a powerful and heartbreaking story about family, forgiveness, and vengence that will shake you to your core. Sadie is an incredible character who will stop at nothing to reach her goal of justice for her sister's murder. And it was quite the journey to tag along to. This worked so incredibly well on audiobook and I couldn't recommend enough.

First audiobook I listened to that was read with a whole cast, which was both different, and likable for this one. Interesting this book is considered “young adult” because it was pretty dark, although I guess it’s because the graphics were inferred, not provided. It was suspenseful made me root for the main character from beginning to end. I wish the end had been tied up a bit more- but I’m finding I usually feel that way about thrillers!

Wow, this book. I really loved it so very much. I read the audiobook since that's what everyone was recommending and omg they were right. Since it is in the format of a podcast, it was a super cool audiobook and I appreciated how it was full cast. This is a phenomenonal, heart wrenching book. Sometimes lines were just so powerful it felt like a punch right in the heart. This is my first Courtney Summers book and when I'm in the emotional place to be able to pick up another one of her books, I definitely will. This book was so gripping and intense. It dealt with such difficult issues with an element of rawness but also an understanding of what will be too triggering. That being said, trigger warning for sexual assault and abuse (physical and emotional), family struggles and drug addiction. This book dealt with grief in such a wonderful and Sadie was such an incredibly deep and complex character. I know some people did not like ending, I didn't hate it and kinda understood why Summers ended it how she did. I really loved the format, having both Sadie and the podcast, because it really adds to the level of suspense and gives you such a wide scope of the whole story. I really powerful story and I really love Courtney Summers writing style.
