That ending. My heart. Can a book punch you in the gut with feels?? Cause I think this one did. I couldn't have told you that I wanted that as an ending but
Alina and Mal running the orphanage, and actually getting to have a normal-ish life
broke my heart in the best way possible. It gives Hunger Games ending vibes. And Alekzander 😭
He’s a tyrant and a murder and yet I still felt a little bad in the end?? He actually felt human for once.
I literally can’t. Why is it overrrrrrrrr

Let's start with my favorite scene: Darkling spawn of demon dying. I re-read it twice just to laugh at him. To me he got easy death that toxic genocidal trash should have suffer longer.

Anyway moving from trash Zoya and Nikolai are amazing, they are best LB characters also David and are Genya scene-stealers.

If anyone deserves better is Baghra you'll crying over genocidal tyrant predator when his mom is right there.

Now malina got ending they deserves. Alina is constantly says how she just wants a normal life and that doesn’t make her weak. She is running an orphanage with love her life who died even for her. She has always been and will always be powerful.

4.5 stars! I love this one the most out of The Grisha Trilogy. I've shared some of my opinions on twitter already but i still have lots to say hehehehe. Let me talk about the some of the characters. This is gonna be long but I need to let this out of my chest.

Alina Starkov
-my brave, strong child
-deserves happiness and peace
-so proud of her
-saved Ravka and she isnt even 20 yet
-WOULD PROTECT WITH MY LIFE

Malyen Oretsev
-i know lots of you hate him but i still dont understand???? i have issues w him but that's it i dont wish for him to die and truth be told i sometimes wanna cringe when he says something but Mal is precious his love for alina is just zvxbdjnsm damn

The Darkling/Aleksander Morozova
-my baby who had the purest intentions for his Grisha people but thru evil ways im
-he may be evil but he's a total mama's boy dont fight me on this (and yes i know he did those things to Baghra but it's clear he loved her bye)
-"dont let me be alone" MY HEART STILL ACHES FOR HIM poor baby just wants someone to love him
-he is a biggest what if
-beautiful beautiful beautiful

Nikolai Lantsov
-too-clever fox, became King of Ravka, my beautiful sunshine, also king of my life, my everything
-I LIVE FOR HIS WITTY COMEBACKS
-so pure and precious
-has endured so much (all the insults aka royal bastard, etc) and felt unwanted as a son but still didnt let all of it get to him (Maven Calore could never)
-WANNA MARRY AND PROTECT HIM WITH MY LIFE
-gorgeous perfect damnably handsome

Zoya
-MY BADASS DAUGHTER
-didnt like her at s&b but love her so much in r&r
-sassy remarks are bomb
-im so glad she survived!!!
-when they all gave gifts to Alina at the orphanage and they gave her a blue kefta with a note "you will always be one of us" DAAAAMN

Genya
-a cinnamon roll
-THE MOMENT SHE STOOD UP FOR HERSELF AGAINST NIKOLAI'S FATHER = MY LONGEST YEAH BOY EVER
-"I am ruination"
-also strong
-deserve to live a happy life

David
-an akward muffin
-may look innocent but could actually kill you
-his "I know metal" speech to Genya and when he kissed her = MY SECOND LONGEST YEAH BOY EVER

Nadia and Tamar
-lesbian and in love with each other
-SO HAPPY NONE OF THEM DIED
-strong characters who deserve all the love in the world

Also, I love Alina's crew: Harshaw, Nadia, Tolya and Tamar, Zoya, Adrik, Mal, Stigg. I'm gonna miss each and everyone of the characters. Seriously. I have so much love for them and I just vzbdjnskskw. I'm so so proud of them for saving Ravka. And again, Aleksander should have lived a happy life :( I still hurt for him ugh (okay but he even said to Alina "you might make me a better man) I can actually imagine an AU wherein teenage Aleksander grew up to be so kind and generous and is living a happy life i dont care who hes with i just want him happy and alive.

I dont know what to say anymore but I just love this book so much. And this trilogy. Thank you, Leigh, for this. (and for the awesome female characters!!)
