Didn't really have expectations with this book. Picked it up from B&N this past weekend. Had to force myself to finish. It was okay, but not great. Reads as more of a middle grade book.

If you want a fast easy read with a few funny scenes this is for you.

If you get irritated by Mary Sue main characters and plot points that just get forgotten, this is not for you.

This book was fine.  I enjoyed the banter between the two main characters, but I wasn’t a fan of the way things wrapped up.  It doesn’t intrigue me enough to read the next book of the series, unless it’s a pick for a book club.

yes, this has millennial humor and is dumb and has a really weird placement in the fantasy genre, but i found it silly and fun. there should be more unserious fiction.
