Started this December 09th, 2012 after a whole day not reading any book!
Read a comment that this will end more or less in a series. Not what I wanted. Not what I want, now that I am 2/3 finished.
Nice twist at the ending.
The idea and the whole structure was ok, but not too gripping, the meandering storytelling did nothing for me and it felt like being written for dumb teenagers, not young adults or even (like me) older adults.
Maybe Patterson should slow down and concentrate more on good content than mass production (in German we say "Masse statt Klasse" for this kind of work).
I will certainly not read the next book in this series (if there is one) anytime soon. Instead I will finish the Maximum Ride-series and read other authors.

Story was pre entertaining, but characters fell flat for me and didn’t like that the narrator kept addressing the audience. Probably would’ve liked this more as a middle schooler.

HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ALL OF TANDY’S QUESTIONS UNANSWERED BY THE END OF THE BOOK ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!
Also, how come Harry only came clean after solving the mystery for calling the cops the night his parents died? knowing who called 911 is the biggest effing lead to any freaking mystery!!!!!
ALSO WTF HAPPENED TO CREEPY NEIGHBOR MR. CORKDSOOSY OR WHATEVER???
Poor mathew i wonder what’s gonna happen to him....

This book threw me for a damn loop. Every chapter was a new turn and I could not stop reading. I cannot wait to read the next books in the series!

Let me just start by saying I absolutely loved this book. I have been a fan of James Patterson for awhile and was so excited to see this one come out. It was a quick easy read, and I like how the characters changed from the beginning to the end of the book.
The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that it left a lot of unanswered questions at the end and could get kind of confusing at times with all the jumping around of what was happening to Tandy.
Even though I wasn't completely fond of the idea of all the loose ends, I like that it could mean for a second book, which I'm excited for. All in all I thought It was a good book, and different then most books I find, no angels or vampires were mixed into it. :)

No spoilers and I do not summarize the plot in my book reviews.
This is the first book I have read by James Patterson. Lately, I have really enjoyed the young adult books and I decided to give this book a try.
I enjoyed reading the book and did decide to read the 2nd book of the series, "Confessions: The Private School Murders". I found this book to be fun and easy to read, however, I wish the characters had more depth. The book didn't blow me away enough to earn a 4 or 5 stars, but I would recommend the book to a reader looking for a easy-to-read mystery book.
