Technically part of a series but you get enough background info to make it through as a standalone.

Suze was quite unlikable here. I really haven't read any of this series for awhile, so maybe she's always been like this and I wouldn't care for the books if I were to read them again.

I must say I love that Brad ended up impregnating his gf with triplets shortly after high school and that Jake owns and operates a legal pot farm. I'm very much looking forward to reading the follow up, but it was a bit of a bummer that this was like half a preview of it. I was surprised it went so quick. I'm guessing that the bracelet and Paul factor in to it. I'm a little bummed by Paul's return. I would have thought that would be far in the past.

I am currently making a bunch of incoherent squealing noises. I can't believe I forgot how much I loved this series and these characters. This may have only been a novella but it made me laugh and cry and feel a million different emotions. I'm not a romantic person, but I am in love with Suze's and Jesse's love. There was a great balance of romance and paranormal elements. I also love and appreciate Suze even more, now that I'm older, than I did when I first read these books. She is so badass. I can't wait to read Remembrance. I'm so happy [a:Meg Cabot|11654|Meg Cabot|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1197201648p2/11654.jpg] decided to write more for this series!

I probably love it because of nostalgia and should probably be a bit annoyed by the fact that Suze really hasn't matured at all and that she is still pretty lously at mediating :D But hey, Jesse is as perfect as ever, so why not :D
