Slow to start but does look hard at how suburban Australia and "normal" neighbours can end up doing "bad" things in a totally believable way
First book of 2022 and wow I don’t know how I’m going to top that. I was blown away by The Nowhere Child and even more so by Wild Place. It was so insanely unpredictable. A perfect way to describe Christian White’s writing style as SMH said is “a master of the art of misdirection”. Right when you think you’ve figured it out you realise you know nothing and that was just the tip of iceberg.
