This book doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. This is a self-help book written in simple English with sound principles. The underlying philosophy, however, is quite powerful. I enjoyed reading this. My appreciation for this book grows with time.
This book put into words and drew attention to a lot of the things I was already doing to be successful and sometimes not aware of. I like that it isn't a book that centers the theme of success to the amount of money you make.
I like the overall message but the chapters dragged on and his examples of people you should follow ( Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Lincoln etc...) made me roll my eyes.
I liked it a lot, but I wish Slight Edge wasn't written a ton of times in the book-at least in capital letters. At times, it seemed a bit of arrogance showing through about stories of others. I don't mind examples of people in a good and bad way, but at times it seemed condescending toward the people in his story. Whether it was meant that way or not, I'm not sure.

A lot of repetition and back slapping on it’s own success.
The fundamentals are really interesting of putting in 10k hours to achieve success and to take small steps every day towards your goals.

This can sometimes feel like a lengthy book to get through whilst reading, but the concepts are amazing and it is a book I recommend to absolutely everyone wanting to improve any area of their life
