In interviews Emma gives Toby much more grace than I do in my head.

I have never been able to conceptualize DID very well before this book.

A weird story that I didn’t really enjoy reading but forced myself to read anyway because I could empathize with the interesting main character and wanted to find out if things ended well for her. Thankfully it seemed to be a relatively happy ending. The book is for fans of really raw and meaningful storytelling - a memoir that’s more like a deep diary entry than an actual story.
