“'It’s the end of civilization as we know it. And it’s going to be great for business.'”
This was a solid end to a fun sci-fi trilogy. Scalzi is a bit self-indulgent at times, but I enjoyed the read nonetheless.

Fine, and if you read the rest of the series, you certainly want to finish it off with this one, but there is much less character development. It feels a little thrown together.
This was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me and so I'm rounding up and not asking it to be something that's it was never intended to be. As an ending to the series, this was super unexpected and yet somehow worked. Kiva Lagos annoyed me by the end and there were some moments of monologuing that I could have done without, but overall this was fun.

This was a fun and engaging read. The characters were entertaining. However, at the end of it, I found myself wishing for a bit more depth. Given the depth of the issues that that drove the plot, it was a pity that the on-screen action mostly revolved around personal politics, grudges, and relationships.

This is the strongest book in the series. It was filled with great humor that I've come to expect from Scalzi but didn't find as much of in the rest of this series. While the plot whole series is a metaphor for climate change, this novel lands blow after blow of stinging sociopolitical jabs. I was disappointed by the ending, or rather the wrap up after then climax. I wanted a bigger finale for the series than I got.
Ran out of gas midway through, I felt like the good set-up in the previous books in the series was squandered.
