Hard to not feel for the main character as she's so innocent. I expected a bit more from the ending though. Was hoping she actually killed the main guy instead of covering up a random side character committing the deed.

I’m just bewildered about all the good ratings for this book. It is so badly written - reads as if a child wrote it. Is it supposed to be a comedy? Or aimed at 12 year olds? It’s neither funny or exciting and the characters are ridiculous. I can just about accept that the main character might talk in such a stilted way , and maybe also the characters who don’t speak English as their first language. But even Mr Preston speaks like someone out if a Victorian novella. At one point he refers to someone as being ‘with child’ … for gods sake! The storyline was frankly tedious. The police officer and the lawyer are like cardboard cut out characters. Honestly- save yourself some time and don’t read this lol
