Worst. Book. Ever.

I remember when I was younger seeing an adaptation of this and thinking it was so boring. What was the point? Who would ever want to read a book without a story. I realize now that it's not a book without a story, but rather one with a quiet story, about wanting something and about missing somethings.

I think this is a prime example of what results when adults choose a book award for children. Sometimes you choose a book that isn't as meaningful to a wide group of children as it is to adults. That being said, now I think I finally understand. (Although why anyone would adapt it to film escapes me completely.)

This is a sweet story. "There's always something to miss, no matter where you are."

There are no content issues for children of any age.
