I give the author points for having the balls to kill off the daughter.

This book just wasn’t holding my interest and wasn’t as engaging as previous books I’ve read by this author. Simply not for me.

I chose to listen to this audiobook because I saw Stephen King had recommend it and I wanted something scary.
I’m afraid it didn’t live up to my expectations. I didn’t find it scary, just gory and I really didn’t feel like the ending tied stuff up.
It didn’t help that I didn’t engage with the narrator’s voice - I found her very monotonous which made it hard to stay focused.
It was ok and I wanted to finish but not sure I’d run to read any other books by this author.

Rethink everything! I didn't know what to expect and that's the best way to enter a horror novel. The best horror makes you think and rethink their world, your world and everything in between.

DNF at 30%- audiobook
This could be a decent book. I just can’t get past the narrator.
I fell asleep at least 3x. Every time I woke up, they were still discussing the same thing and I still didn’t know why the bad guys were there. I give up
