The end of the story is a little saccharine for my tastes, but the illustrations are adorable enough to make up for it.

This book is about a bunny who abuses a helpless duck and then how the duck in turn abuses the bunny when he is helpless. I am not sure how this is considered appropriate reading for a child of any age.

A curious bunny finds an egg and wonders what is in it.

The Golden Egg Book was really cute but why is that the title? The egg wasn't gold. So confused. I was also annoyed to have to stop to tell my son every other sentence, "no, kicking isn't nice" and, "no, we shouldn't throw rocks."

I think old Wise Brown had a fixation on rabbits! Seems to be a lot of the old bunnies in her books, except. I am guessing for on biking in a pot!
Anyway apart from all that guff this was a decent little easter themed story, if easter is about mythical rabbits, which, spoiler it is not.

Review by my 5 and 6 y/o students: They liked the story, but it wasn't something truly engaging. I think the jokes aren't funny anymore for the young 'uns! I love it however nad will keep using it.

Absolutely, utterly, completely adorable!! Such a cute Easter story!
