I thought this book was boring it was pretty much just a play by play of the game. I was hoping with all the historical information they put into the games this would have more going for it but it doesn't. This was like reading those horrible novelizations they make of movies. I bought it to see if I'd be interested in reading more and quite frankly I'm not. However I might take a peek at the new one by Christie Golden as I love her World of Warcraft books.
Reads like a computer game with God Mode cheat turned on. The protagonist gets handed everything he needs to complete each of his quests, gets weapon upgrades as he goes along. All he does is climb a wall, stab someone or shoot someone and the plot takes him to another location. Hero never suffers, setbacks last only as long as it takes to turn a page.
Dull. Threw book in recycling as would could not in good conscience let anyone else suffer from reading it.

2.5 stars. It was accurate. Really really accurate. Which is awesome but led it to be quite mundane.

I really wanted to like this one more since I love the Assassin's Creed video game series, but overall, this met what I expected. I understand it's hard to translate video games into a written form, and I do think it was done reasonably well, but the personality and action of the characters just doesn't shine as much as it could. Honestly, I think going a bit off the game script probably would've done it some good. Not a bad book, but I probably wouldn't read it again.
