The Rose Society, aka, The Making of a Psychopath.

Adelina's powers were so strong I can feel her threads leeching through my bones. Words exquisitely put together that it was dragging me. I had to stop myself for the holidays because it was exhausting me. I had to hand it to Marie Lu, she made such a powerful villain.

Mi Adelina will do anything to get revenge. Killing anyone that comes in her way. Even those who she loves! No one gets pardoned! Everyone must die! Ever her illusions were turning against her! She hates everyone and I love how it was all expressed with burning, or in this case, wild fire approach!!

So powerful yet so fragile. What a perfect combination.

MERAVIGLIA, Marie Lu ti faccio i complimenti.
Azione, avventura, complotti e colpi di scena.
Se cercate una serie adrenalinica, buttatevi su The Young Elites.

And her former friends, Raffaele and the Dagger Society, want to stop her thirst for vengeance.

NO! LET HER CONTINUE BEING CRAZY AND INSANE AND MAD I LOVE HER WHEN SHE'S DARK.

This was a really good book and there were so many turns that it truly keeps you at the edge of your seats. I recommend this series!

I don't have the mood to write review. It was a good sequel to the first one. I liked how characters grow and how we were introduced to new ones. I hope we see more of Maeve, I really liked her. The ending was good like the first one the only problem is that it got a little boring in the first but then it was okay.

I loved this book. The way it goes from her aspect. It is very unique and the twists are amazing. It is a bit hard to keep following but I loved it. Adelina is such a kick ass character and the way this book is written. It is one of my favorite series so far and I can't wait for the next.

Marie Lu had me with Legends, I was in, hook, line, and sinker. With this series, the first book had me intrigued. I loved the swinging of balance between good and evil, as well as the romance and the plot. However, I was worried that the second book in the series, The Rose Society, would begin to get too dark. I am one of those people who refuses to watch 60 minutes or any of those unsolved/solved murder mystery shows because I know there is evil in this world, I am not ignorant to it, and I do not need to be reminded of it during my escape-from-reality time at home. With that in mind, if you are still on par with me, don't bother with this book. It does get too dark. I kept hoping for a spark of light to push through and win, but, alas, it never did and she only goes deeper and deeper into the depths of darkness.

Wowza. That was the darkest shit I have ever read to the point where it was kind of disturbing. It was such a weird feeling to want the MC to succeed as well as wanting someone to just end them for their own good. Adelina is a very complex character (as well as most of the characters in this book) and her actions always have me conflicted. I’m really anxious to see how she ends up in this series, whether she grows some compassion or succeeds in her state of ruthlessness; it could really go either way. this book was crazy, exciting, and such a step up from the last book especially in its darkness.
